Agriculture Specialist
The arrival of an agriculture specialist, Dr. Orlando Pozo, in the community will allow more opportunities for local people to improve and diversify agricultural production. The first visit to the crops occurred on February 22, 2003 and was followed by a lecture.
On March 24, 2003, a program to improve family gardens began.
New varieties of vegetables were planted under the supervision of Dr. Orlando Pozo, who brought seeds and suggested the best techniques. Among the seeds planted were onions, chard, turnips, parsley, cauliflower, cabbage, and lettuce.
